One of smallest dual 18650 battery kit can fire up to 200W maximum output
The Smok R-Kiss Kit is a high wattage mod and tank kit,A simple two-colour combination endows this mod modern style with 200W max output power and a newly designed user interface for simpler functionality. I was fortunate enough to be chosen as a product tester, so this kit was sent to me for the purpose of this review. I will still be giving my unbiased opinion, I have not previously owned a Smok product.

The R-Kiss mod has been designed by Smok using the principle Keep it Simple Stupid, hence the name. And that is exactly what this mod is, a very simple and sleek design with a no frills user interface that makes it incredibly simple to use. The R-Kiss is a king of no frills mod, though Smok have not skimped on the quality or design of the mod. The kit comes with the new TFV8 Baby V2 tank, with 5ml capacity. The included coils in the kit are Smok’s new Mini V2 Coils the A1 and A2 Hyper Engine coils, both have a much larger surface area than Smok’s previous mesh coils, and are designed to be vaped at higher wattages. They are also available in three colours, SS, gold, and 7 colour rainbow.
There are no menu options or settings, keeping with the simple design principle. The interface is an all new design from Smok, it also uses a simple design and has all the information that you need displayed neatly on the screen. You have you wattage, resistance, puff seconds, and your voltage. In the top left you have coloured dots which you can select. On the right is you battery level indicator marked A and B. There is no menu or settings on the R-Kiss, the user interface has also been designed for simplicity. You can change the colour of the display text by pressing the two selection buttons together briefly. You can choose between white, red, yellow, or blue. The screen is really vibrant and bright, you can still clearly see the screen in direct sunlight.
The R-Kiss 220w has a micro usb on the front for charging and upgrading the firmware of your mod. The Smok logo appears when you turn on the device followed by the R-Kiss logo with your current firmware version. The boot up is quick no more than 4 seconds before the device is ready to fire. Smok boast that the R-Kiss is the smallest dual 18650 battery mod on the market, and compared to the Smoant Charon Mini and the Voopoo Vmate the R-Kiss kit 220w is definitely shorter with roughly the same width. The battery door is located on the bottom of the mod, on the door, your positive and negative is clearly marked, and so is the inside of the mod with large coloured symbols. The battery door is firmly secured, there’s no rattle there, it is very secure. Shaking the mod there is no button rattle.
The kit comes in a range of colours, there is red black, black red, silver black, gold black, and a navy blue and prism chrome. Each comes with the TFV Mini V2 in a matching colour. The tank is a nice size in proportion to the R-Kiss mod, the two look like they belong together.
In terms of size the TFV Mini V2 tank is only 54mm tall and 30mm at its widest diameter, and the R-Kiss is 28mm wide. For a size comparison the R-Kiss is about the same width as the Charon mini but slightly shorter. The mod is very comfortable to hold, and features a grip style button, similar to what I have in the Yosta livepor 230 mod. I think this style of button incredibly comfortable to both hold and use. This is a really good design for someone that has arthritis or weak hands. The button is clicky but has the right level of resistance without being too stiff. The mod is a comfortable size and shape to have as an all day carry, in your pocket or handbag.
The wattage range of the R-Kiss is 6 to 200W, and it is powered by dual 18650 batteries. The included coils are best vaped a 80-140w which makes the most of this high powered mod. The R-Kiss is a great starter kit for someone looking to upgrade to a more powerful device with a high wattage range, or even for vapers that prefer at higher wattages or using RDA’s. Vaping with the pre-installed A1 coil the mod is reading the resistance as 0.153 ohms. Vaping at 90W I am getting a nice warm vape, with lots of flavour and some really big clouds.
The flavour at such a high wattage is really amazing. I found the A1 coil only needed a few puffs at a slightly lower than recommended wattage for the flavour to really come in. And once it did I was getting the sweetness and the flavour notes of my juice, which had been something I had found lacking in Kathal round wire coils. Such as those in the Sigelei Moonshot tank and the Snowwolf Wolf Tank. I am really impressed with the TFV Mini V2 tank, the slide top fill is really convenient for filling when you’re out and about. The fill hole is very large, so if you are using a bottle with a dropper you can still fill your tank without mess.
The TFV8 Baby V2 has triple airflow, which is a little noisy, but that airflow works well at cooling the vapor. Something that you need vaping at 100W or more. The press button sliding top cap design also gives you a sort of chimney space between your drip tip and coil. Smok have used a proprietary 16mm delrin drip tip with this tank. I find it very comfortable, you can also purchase a cobra resin patterned version. The tank has a V design on the base and top, which gives it a unique look. The ridges also help with gripping when unscrewing the tank, or adjusting the airflow. The airflow adjustment ring moves freely, and there is a stopper to prevent is turning all the way around.
